Help Bisexuals & Pansexuals Have Visibility at Seattle Pride

We are the Seattle Pan Bi Alliance, the ONLY group that has exclusively represented all genders of the bisexual+ community at Seattle Pride for several years! We want to continue to be a positive force for bi & pan+ folks in the greater Seattle area and to keep holding space for our community at Pride this year. We want to make sure the B in LGBTQ+ is represented every year in Seattle Pride! Now more than ever, we need to maintain our visibility and fight for our rights to exist as ourselves in this uncertain and frightening political climate. Please help Seattle Pan Bi Alliance continue to be a positive, visible force in the LGBTQIA2S+ community in Seattle. How Your Donation Helps: We are a very small organization. Our group leaders & volunteers spend what they can from their own time and money to make our group what it is. We could not have been a presence at Pride the last 3 years without donations, and we are again asking for help for 2025. All funds from donations are used to support our group's mission of creating an inclusive social & activist group for all bisexual+ people and our allies. We need funds to cover booth fees for Trans Pride & PrideFest and money to cover the cost of producing brochures, and purchasing flags and other swag to give away to the community at our tables. We also need funds to upkeep our website and the continuing cost of Meetup.com organizer fees. Any leftover funds will go first towards reimbursing members for the cost of creating buttons, cards, flyers, & other giveaways. Excess funds will be saved for our Bi Visibility event in September, Pan Visibility Day, & other future events. Usually, we use up our funds within a year of our yearly campaigns. Why Bi & Pan Visibility Matters: Seattle Pan Bi Alliance has been the only bi+ contingent in the Seattle Pride Parade for 3 years and the only bi+ organization in Seattle to table at Pride events. Whether they use the label of bi, pan, fluid, multisexual, omnisexual, polysexual, abrosexual, m-spec, or no label, all non-monosexuals face invisibility, isolation, and invalidation by those who deny our very existence. We face discrimination by both the straight and gay communities. This is likely one of the reasons that bi+ people have an alarming rate of depression, suicide, and experience the highest rates of sexual violence as compared to most monosexuals. About Our Group: SPBi (spy) Alliance is a community social organization dedicated to creating an inclusive space for our diverse community where members can communicate, socialize, support, and celebrate each other in a way that builds our community up and makes us stronger. All genders and non-monosexual identities are welcome to join and participate. We host social meet-ups, Bi & Pan Visibility Day events, and virtual events on our Discord server. Your support means that we can continue to be here for our community. Thank you!
